Scholarships OPEN on January 1 and CLOSE on June 15.
Pioneer Education Scholarship - $500This scholarship was created to promote the field of interpreting, and to foster the growth and development of Deaf and hearing interpreters in Minnesota. This scholarship is intended to aid a Deaf or hearing student/interpreter with the cost of their training or education towards becoming a certified interpreter.

This scholarship is intended to aid a Deaf or hearing interpreter with the cost of exams for the National Interpreter Certification (NIC), Certified Deaf Interpreter Certification (CDI), or Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA).

Mary Burnes Mentorship Scholarship - $200This scholarship was created to honor Mary Burnes and her passion for creating mentoring opportunities that allow interpreters to grow and improve their skills. Mary believed that we are better when we collaborate. Scholarship funds will help with the cost of hiring a mentor.

Stephen Medlicott Professional Development Scholarship - $200This scholarship was created to honor Stephen Medlicott and his many years of service to MRID planning MRID conferences, events, and Camp ASL. This scholarship is intended to aid a Deaf or hearing interpreter with the cost of professional development.EXAMPLES INCLUDE: conferences, workshops, webinars, Camp ASL, and Higher Ed.
